The Grand Rising Respite Facility and Shine A Light in the Dark, provide specialized mental health training for law enforcement agencies, correctional professionals, probation and parole officers, and other public safety professionals. Our evidence-informed training programs are designed to strengthen crisis response skills, improve community interactions, and promote officer resilience and wellness.

Drawing from trauma-informed practices, behavioral health expertise, and real-world public safety experience, our trainings equip participants with practical strategies for safely responding to individuals experiencing mental health crises, substance use disorders, suicidal behaviors, developmental disabilities, and trauma-related conditions. Participants learn effective communication, de-escalation techniques, risk assessment, and referral practices that support positive outcomes while enhancing officer and community safety.
