COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY MODEL

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, and severe mental illness. CBT is evidence-based and proven to be more effective than other psychotherapies. CBT premises its core principles based on faulty thinking and unhealthy learned behavior. CBT treatment is centered on changing thinking patterns. Through exercises during one-to-one and group sessions, clients will learn how to develop coping skills to change their own thinking, problematic emotions, and behavior.
